They're inexpensive, small, run Windows, and the hardware has enough power to run Windows XP well. I don't think I would have much use for one but for the type of work you do I think a netbook would be a perfect fit.
I've heard good things about the Acer and it is one of the least expensive ones out there. The HP's look good to but they cost a bit more and I'm sure you're just paying the extra for the name. I would stay away from the ones that run Linux. Not that Linux is bad or anything it's just that one running Windows would let you run the applications you already have and know how to use.
Other then that, I don't know much about them.
